Our Professional Staff

Patricia D. Post, Ph. D , is a licensed clinical psychologist who has had extensive training and experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with learning, attention, and behavioral difficulties. She treats children who experience anxiety, behavioral and emotional difficulties and provides consultation to parents. She works with families as well as school resources to optimize each child's adjustment and to facilitate services. She also provides treatment for depression and anxiety with adolescents and adults. She is also specialized in the area child custody evaluations and has worked with the Calcasieu Parish Family Court from 1988 until present. Dr. Post did her undergraduate work at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, receiving a B.S. in Psychology (Dual Major in Spanish) and her graduate work at Texas Tech University receiving her Ph. D. in 1977. She was licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners Psychologists in 1980. Dr. Post holds professional memberships in The Louisiana Psychological Association, the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, The Southwest Louisiana Family Mediation Council (past president), and AFCC (Association of Family, Court, and Community Professionals.

Brenda W. LaFleur, LCSW , is a licensed social worker who began practice in the Lake Charles area in 1975. She specializes in women's issues, including mood disorders and relationship problems. She also has many years experience in working with adolescents, children and their parents. She is a Certified Divorce and Family Mediator (La. R.S. 9:334) who has been providing co-parent mediation to the Southwest Louisiana area for the past 15 years. Brenda received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1971 and her Master's in Social Work degree from the University of Arkansas in 1975. She became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LA#1002) in Louisiana in 1977. She has been employed by The Psychology Clinic for the past twenty three years.

Jodie Rabalais Guth, Ph. D ., specializes in cognitive-behavioral interventions for adult mood disorders, anxiety disorders, chronic pain coping, female sexual issues, weight management/body image disorder issues, pre-surgical evaluations for weight loss surgery, orthopedic surgery and pain management surgery. Dr. Guth received her Ph.D. in Adult Clinical Psychology from LSU in 2000 and was licensed in the State of Louisiana in 2005. Prior to completing her doctorate, she graduated from LSU with a B. S. in Psychology in 1993 and completed a Pre-Doctoral Internship from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 1997-1998.

Jacquelyn A. Braud, Ph. D , Jacquelyn A. Braud, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in cognitive-behavioral interventions for adults, adolescents, older children and families. She treats individuals who experience anxiety, emotional difficulties, anger management issues, grief and loss, and adjustment issues. In addition, she conducts evaluations to determine emotional and cognitive functioning and assess for the presence of learning, attentional, and developmental disorders. Dr. Braud completed her undergraduate work at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (B.A. in Psychology). She completed her graduate work at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana (M.S. in General Psychology, 2004) and at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas (Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, 2012). Dr. Braud was licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists in August 2014. She is a member of the Louisiana Psychological Association and the Calcasieu Medical Society Alliance.


Gabby Walker, LCSW, is a licensed social worker who was born and raised in Lake Charles, LA. He began practicing in the Lake Charles area after receiving his Master’s in Social Work degree from Tulane University in 2015. He has many years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with mood disorders and anxiety disorders.
